Sealed Units

Replacement double glazed sealed units manufactured in-house to your exact specifications.

Restore clarity, warmth and performance.

If your windows are misted, steamy or showing signs of condensation between the panes, it is usually the sealed unit that has failed and not the entire window frame.

At Right Units, we manufacture replacement sealed units directly in our factory, allowing us to supply and fit or provide supply only to your required size, shape and specification.

By replacing just the sealed unit, you can:

  • Restore full visibility
  • Improve thermal efficiency
  • Reduce heat loss and energy costs
  • Extend the life of your existing windows

We can produce sealed units in any style or shape, ensuring a precise fit and professional finish.

Why choose sealed units from Right Units?

Because we manufacture sealed units in-house, we maintain complete control over quality, accuracy and turnaround times.

Whether you need a single replacement unit or multiple units for a larger project, we provide:

Made-to-Measure Units

Manufactured to your exact dimensions and glazing requirements.

Supply & Fit or Supply Only

Professional installation available, or collection for trade and DIY customers.

Improved Energy Efficiency

Modern sealed units designed to enhance insulation and help lower heating costs.

Replacing a failed sealed unit is often far more cost-effective than replacing the entire window — and achieves the same improvement in clarity and thermal performance.

What are Super Spacer Windows?

Standard windows use a highly conductive metal spacer bar to hold the two panes of glass apart, which sucks heat from inside to the outside. Super Spacer introduces no-metal warm edge technology to windows, helping to deliver windows of the highest standards. Super Spacer® is a no-metal, pre-desiccated, structural foam spacer system. Its award winning, patented Thermal Set Spacer (TSS) technology gives the ultimate in high performance spacer systems. Since it was first introduced in 1989, Super Spacer has become the dominant force in thermally efficient spacer systems.

Super Spacer has 100% memory and allows for expansion and contraction, a major cause of fractures in conventional sealed units. In accelerated testing Super Spacer has been shown to last over twice as long as other dual seal systems and five times longer than single seal systems.

Argon gas-filled windows

Argon gas-filled windows significantly enhance insulation and energy efficiency, making them a popular choice for homeowners looking to reduce energy costs and improve comfort.

What are Argon Gas Windows?

Argon gas windows are double or triple-pane windows that contain argon gas sealed between the glass panes. Argon is a colorless, odorless, and non-toxic noble gas that is denser than air. This density helps to reduce heat transfer, making these windows more effective at insulating homes compared to standard air-filled windows.

Benefits of Argon Gas Windows

  • Improved Insulation: Argon gas reduces heat transfer by up to 30%, helping maintain consistent indoor temperatures. This is particularly beneficial in extreme weather conditions, as it minimizes heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.
  • Energy Efficiency: By creating a better thermal barrier, argon-filled windows can lead to noticeable reductions in energy consumption, which translates to lower heating and cooling bills over time.
  • Condensation Reduction: These windows help prevent condensation buildup on the interior glass surfaces, which can protect window frames and surrounding areas from moisture damage.
  • Sound Insulation: The denser argon gas provides better soundproofing compared to air-filled windows, making them ideal for homes in noisy environments.
  • Long-Term Value: Although argon gas windows may have a higher upfront cost than standard windows, the long-term energy savings and improved comfort can make them a worthwhile investment.

Pilkington K Glass

The UK’s leading solution for thermal insulation in homes and public buildings, Pilkington K Glass™ is a low emissivity coated glass which is easily stocked, processed and installed. Pilkington K Glass™ has been established for more than 15 years making it the trusted solution for meeting energy efficiency Building Regulations.

Pilkington K Glass™ usually forms the inner pane of an Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) such as the latest energy efficient glazing, Pilkington energiKare™. The coating reflects heat back into the room whilst also letting in free heat from the sun known as passive solar gain. Pilkington K Glass™ helps windows to achieve high Window Energy Ratings to demonstrate compliance with energy saving Building Regulations Part L. Sealed Units FAQs

Why do sealed units fail?

Sealed units can fail over time due to wear in the perimeter seal, allowing moisture to enter between the panes and cause misting or condensation.

Yes. In most cases, only the sealed unit needs replacing. If the frames are still in good condition, this is a more economical solution.

Yes. Modern sealed units provide improved insulation compared to older units, helping to reduce heat loss and lower energy bills.

We can manufacture sealed units in various styles, shapes and specifications to closely match your existing glazing.
