Composite

Modern performance with the strength and appearance of traditional timber.

What is a composite door?

A composite door is built using multiple materials combined to deliver superior strength, insulation and durability. Unlike traditional single-material doors, composite doors feature a solid timber core or insulated inner core, protected by a durable outer skin.

This layered construction creates a door that offers the appearance of timber, with significantly improved security, weather resistance and energy efficiency.

Composite doors are most commonly used for front and residential entrance doors, where strength, performance and kerb appeal are essential.

Benefits of

Composite

Strong & Stable: Reinforced core construction resists warping and twisting.
Energy Efficient: Designed to achieve U-values of 1.4 or below for improved insulation.
Secure by Design: Compatible with PAS 24 approved multi-point locking systems.

Is composite the right material for your home?

Composite doors are ideal for homeowners who want:

  • The traditional look of timber without the maintenance
  • Higher security performance
  • Improved thermal efficiency
  • A wide choice of colours and glazing styles

They are particularly well suited to front entrance doors, where durability and insulation are key priorities.

While materials such as uPVC and aluminium offer different advantages, composite is often chosen as a premium alternative for residential properties seeking both style and substance.

Designed for modern security standards.

Composite doors are compatible with advanced multi-point locking systems and high-security cylinders.

Many systems are tested to PAS 24 enhanced security standards, offering reassurance that your entrance door meets recognised performance requirements.

The strength of the composite core allows locking systems to perform at their highest level, providing excellent resistance against forced entry.

Built for energy efficiency.

All composite doors supplied by Right Units meet current Building Regulation guidelines, with U-values of 1.4 or below. The exact U-value will depend on the door style and glazing configuration, but every composite door is engineered to help reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency within your home.

This makes composite an excellent choice for improving comfort while keeping heating costs under control.

Design your Door

The colour range is by far the widest in the market and now amounts to 16 colours and woodgrains inside and out, including a number of exclusive finishes such as Mocha and Duck Egg Blue. We can even offer a range of 18 colour combinations for the door frames. The doors are ‘through colour’ not just a simple gel finish or stain on the surface.
